SUICIDE ALI

SUICIDE ALI was founded in June 2004 in Osaka, by guitarist Hiroshi and vocalist Goshi, two former Variable Messiah members. In March 2005 they released their first tracks as online downloads and two months later, their official website went online. On their first anniversary as a band, Hisashi joined on drums and a second online-only single, CHAINSAW, was released in the same month.

A few months later in August, SUICIDE ALI became a four member band when former Majestic guitarist, Yuu, became part of SUICIDE ALI. Also the band had its first radio interview with US radio broadcaster, Tainted Reality, which helped them gain popularity among the fans outside of Japan. With the success of the first broadcast, a second interview followed in October. A month later, bassist Mst joined and the band started concentrating on their coming concerts. But this took more than a half year, so that the first live of SUICIDE ALI took place on July 14, 2006 at the Osaka MUSE. On the same evening, they released their first official singleTHIS NEW ORDER, which seems to have been pressed only seventy-seven times for the first press.

In the following months, the band played several concerts per month, collaborated with punk industrial American band lo:lita, and released a second single in May 2007, which had a limit of a hundred copies. Their first overseas concerts were announced by German ASTAN magazine for summer of the 2007, but they were soon moved to spring 2008, which never happened. Nevertheless, SUICIDE ALI played their first one-man at the HOLIDAY OSAKA on August 27, 2007. Right after this first one-man, Mst left the band, but that didn't stop SUICIDE ALI from continuing on.

Their new line-up after Mst’s departure consisted of Hiroshi switching from guitar to the bass. After this, they performed only, with no other activities until 2008 with the release of their first mini-album, sarau fue to yakusoku and their second mini-album a few months later. SUICIDE ALI finally had their overseas debut in the US at Pacific Media Expo in Los Angeles in November 2008.

The band would lose Yuu at the beginning of 2009, only to gain Kozi a few months later as bassist, making Hiroshi return to guitar once again. With this new lineup, SUICIDE ALI began afresh with their first album, Daishi no waltz, released on September 2nd. Their upcoming return to the US will be in November at Virginia’s anime convention, Nekocon. This will make new bassist Kozi’s overseas debut. With a new lineup, SUICIDE ALI seems to continue on growing musically and gaining recognition.

A new maxi-single in January 2011, Perpetual Check, and another in June the same year, DONOR OF LIE. 6 Mounth later without any news, there are a new release: Single THE COLD BODY.

Three years after the release of their first full-length album, SUICIDE ALI have announced the release of their second album, Tainted Gallery, it will contain twelve tracks, and will include both re-recordings and newly-written songs. It will also come with a DVD, including the PV for the song Shijuushichi no Gen. The album will be available for pre-sale at live venues from SUICIDE ALI's one-man show at Ikebukuro CYBER on August 19th, and will be available in stores on September 12th.
